The Journey from Delhi to Bhimtal
My journey began in Delhi. I took a bus operated by the Uttarakhand Parivahan Nigam, and after an overnight journey, I arrived in Haldwani.
Traveling by bus has a charm of its own—the changing scenery outside the window, coupled with the excitement of a new journey unfolding within.

Haldwani Stay – A Simple Yet Peaceful Night
Upon reaching Haldwani, I checked into a simple local hotel and rested. I was weary from the journey, yet my heart was filled with a unique sense of excitement.
This step is quite important if you wish to make your Bhimtal trip relaxed and comfortable.
Before drifting off to sleep that night, I had just one thought: “Tomorrow, I will be amidst the mountains…”
Bike taxi to Bhimtal
The next morning, I took a bike taxi and set off for Bhimtal.
The mountain views I encountered along the way… were truly nothing short of a postcard. Every turn revealed a new vista, and every gust of wind brought with it a wave of fresh air.

The magic of Bhimtal mountains
The moment I arrived in Bhimtal, it felt as though I had stepped into a dream world. Lush green mountains surrounded me on all sides, accompanied by fresh air and a pervasive sense of natural tranquility.
The most remarkable thing about Bhimtal is that its serenity instantly brings a sense of relaxation to both your heart and your mind.
I stood there, simply immersing myself in nature—absorbing every single moment deep within my being.
An Unexpectedly Sweet Moment
During my travels, I came across a very cute dog—he had long, fluffy fur and looked exactly like a teddy bear.
I spent some time playing with him, and that little moment became a beautiful highlight of my trip.
It is precisely these small moments that make the Bhimtal travel experience truly special.
Bhimtal Lake – Nature’s Best Gift
When I reached the lake, I simply stood there, gazing in awe.
The cool breeze, the tranquil water, and the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains—everything was so perfect that it felt as though time itself had stood still.
Here, you can enjoy boating, water sports, and a variety of adventure activities. The nearby hotels are also excellent, offering a comfortable stay along with access to swimming pools and recreational facilities.
For this reason, Bhimtal is the perfect destination for tourists—especially for nature lovers and those seeking peace and tranquility.
Local Life – Memories with Children
There is a government school located near the lake. As I sat there, the school’s recess began, and little children came outside to play.
Before long, they approached me… and we all started playing together. Their laughter, their energy, and their innocence completely won my heart.
Just then, a cotton candy vendor happened to pass by. I bought cotton candy for all the children.
The feeling I experienced upon seeing their joy… is difficult to describe in words.
A Heart-Touching Gift
After eating cotton candy, the children insisted on giving me a small gift. I declined… but they wouldn’t take no for an answer.
They opened their school bags and gave me their pens, pencils, sketch pens, and various other little trinkets.
To them, perhaps, these were just simple items…
But to me, they were no less than diamonds.
Even today, I have carefully preserved all of them in my studio. Whenever I look at them, my heart finds a unique sense of peace.
This moment became the most emotional and priceless part of my journey to Bhimtal.
